Ameya Kapnadak is a highly experienced marketing professional and an expert in brand strategy. He has over 17 years of solid marketing and branding experience during which he has worked on and built some of India’s best brands.
As one of the earliest members of ICICI Bank’s International Banking Group, Ameya led the marketing effort to build the ICICI brand in markets as diverse as the USA, Canada, the Middle East and Sri Lanka. As head of marketing at TimesofMoney, he led a team of 16 and helped Remit2India breach the 1 Billion Dollar mark in remittances.
Besides Banking and Finance, Ameya has solid experience in the FMCG, Alcoholic Beverages, Fashion, Auto and Media and Entertainment industries. His functional specialisation spans areas such as brand strategy, brand positioning, brand architecture and portfolio management, brand strength assessment and brand valuation, go-to-market strategy and communications.
Ameya is a Pharmacist by profession, having graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences from K M Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai. He followed that up with a Masters in Marketing Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, one of India’s premier Business Schools. He started his branding career at J Walter Thompson, and has since worked at Mudra India, ICICI Bank, The Times Group and Interbrand.
When he’s not building brands, Ameya indulges his other passions, which include fitness, music and motorcycling. He is a guitarist and has served as a HOG Officer for his Harley-Davidson chapter.
